The BAM shell protection module is designed to prevent the attachment of mollusk larvae to seawater water supply systems, connecting pipelines and inside the condensation coils of air conditioners. Microscopic larvae are sensitive to the spectrum of ultraviolet light, which “stuns” them, preventing them from attaching inside the system.
The unique design provides easy installation in the filtration system by replacing the filter cover or in seawater pipelines after the through valve of the housing. The module can be installed in seawater hoses of various sizes using adapters or directly connected to a through-body valve. The base system is made of UNS Alloy C95400 bronze, specially designed for the marine environment.
The electronics are built into the module. The system can be purchased with an AC or DC power supply circuit. The module is connected to a seawater pump with 120/240 V AC power supply, but alternatively it can be connected to a DC source with a voltage from 12 to 24 V DC.
